 Last year I decided to change my website around so that people could place orders and pay for them directly on my website.
Not only did people not use the fancy new feature on my site, people were no longer enquiring into the services we offer.
If you have a website you'll probably have web statistics where you can see how many visitors you got, where they came from, what pages they looked at etc. This is a vitally important tool which helps you decide how to tweak your website to cater for your website visitors.
My website statistics were telling me that most people were arriving at my website and then leaving, without even looking around. What does that mean? It means my homepage was not doing its job in attracting customers. It didn't entice people to stay and browse, and contact me for more information.

 A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine.
